Good value
I was pleasantly surprised by this shredder. It is not meant for heavy use but has stood up under the stress of reorganizing my home office. It is good value for money. It’s not mentioned on the instructions but the light sensor located in the middle of the top where there is a little notch needs to be cleaned now and then to keep it from running continuously. I use a cotton swab with a little alcohol.
Update (9/6/2010): This item is currently on sale here for the lowest price I’ve seen.

Not what I expected but doable
The first shredder I got crapped out on me after 3 weeks, I was so disappointed as I researched this shredder and thought it sounded the best for the price and my needs. It claims to shred a max of 8 sheets, thats a lie. It actually only shreds about 4 sheets at a time. Our first shredder died when we put 2 sheets in. I contacted Amazon and told them of our experience and they handled the situation beautifully. I had another shredder within a few days, no questions asked. Now that’s customer service!! It is the same brand and model that had broken but now I’m more informed on how to deal with this machine, I never put more than 4 sheets in at a time.

Not the best shredder…just okay.
Around shredder is okay. Not super, really bad. A vulnerability has (less than a month after I received it) is that the scraps AUTO function does not work. It only runs without stopping, even if there is no paper in front of the sensor. I did actually turn on and off. It is definitely not to rest, and the paper pieces are a little larger than I had expected. I also noticed a small crack in the casing on the underside of one of the screws. I hope that not later become a problem. Other than that, he gets to do the job.
